The Lowestoft Classic Vehicle Club is pleased to announce East Coast Hospice as its Charity Partner for 2015. Members of the club were asked to nominate a Charity worthy of their support for this year. All nominations made were put to a vote and East Coast Hospice came out as the clear winner.
Club Chairman, Brian Page, said ‘We were looking to support a local charity this year and we are delighted to be associated with East Coast Hospice as it fundraises to bring a much needed facility to our area’.
ECH community fundraiser, Jeff Wood, commented ‘It is wonderful that a club which has been an active part of the community in Lowestoft for 26 years has chosen to support us, and recognises the value of the project. As a charity we look forward to the coming year, and all the fresh opportunities this mutually beneficial partnership will bring.’
The Lowestoft Classic Vehicle Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at The Parkhill Hotel Nr Oulton. (Brian would like to express his gratitude to the Hotel Management for allowing the use of their facilities).
The club has over 60 members and is for vehicles registered before December 1975. New members most welcome.
The club offers a full season of runs, put together by a very enthusiastic event organiser, Laurie Rooke. The biggest outing in the calendar takes place with a Rally on July 19th, at Kirkley and Pakefield Football club. This will be for the 25th year running, quite an achievement!
