The first ever East Coast Hospice memory walk took place on Friday 6th July. Walkers really took to the spirit and captured the neon theme by dressing up in neon clothing and accessories – to light up the night in memory of a loved one.
About 40 walkers took part and walked a 4km route along the Great Yarmouth seafront, setting off at 10pm. As the skies darkened, the glowing neon clothing and glo-sticks illuminated brightly to make the walkers really stand out.
With sponsorship money still coming in, this first memory walk has raised over £500 for the charity. Those who participated said they could not wait for the next one to be arranged.
