East Coast Hospice are fundraising to build an independent specialist palliative care hospice in Gorleston for the people of Great Yarmouth and Waveney. A big source of the charity’s income is from the 9 charity shops dotted around Norfolk and Suffolk, and they have very recently opened the doors of a 10th store right here in Southwold.
Retail Area Manager Jane Allen and her Volunteers have been working hard to make sure that the quality donations are appropriately priced and effectively displayed before the shop opened its doors on Monday May 9th.
Jennifer Beesley, The Chairman of East Coast Hospice said “I am so proud of the incredible team we are blessed to have working for East Coast Hospice, and I have every belief that with Jane’s expertise this shop will be just as successful as the nine other shops we currently have open.”
The newly refurbished shop is situated at 37 High Street, Southwold. It sells all sorts of wonderful pre-loved items but specialises in designer clothes, bric-a-brac and furniture at incredibly low prices. Being in the centre of town it is extremely handy to drop off donations, and drop in to browse.
If you have a few hours to spare and would like to join the team to help ‘Raise the Roof’ of Margaret Chadd House please pop into any of the ECH shops in Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Caister, Lowestoft, Beccles, Bungay, Diss and North Walsham for a friendly chat and more information.
