Her Worship the Mayor, Councillor Shirley Weymouth attended the Fullers Hill East Coast Hospice shop on Thursday the 30th of July, and officially opened the charity shop’s doors to the public.

Shop Manager Wendy Taylor and her Volunteers put on an incredible spread for the Mayor, staff and volunteers who had arrived to celebrate.

The Mayor said “The volunteers are so important to charity shops, without you all this charity would not be able to run, you really have done an excellent job and I can see in this wonderful shop all the hard work that has been put in by you and Wendy”.

Jennifer Beesley, The Chairman of East Coast Hospice thanked The Mayor for her attendance and said “I am so proud of the incredible team we are blessed to have working for East Coast Hospice, and I have every belief that with Wendy’s expertise this shop will be just as successful as the eight other shops we currently have open.”

The newly refurbished shop is situated at No.2 Fullers Hill, Great Yarmouth, and it stands out with its double fronted blue windows and incredible displays. It sells all sorts of wonderful pre-loved items but specialises in vintage fabrics and retro furniture at incredibly low prices. With a carpark just next door it is extremely handy to drop off donations and pick up large items.

If you have a few hours to spare and would like to join the team to help ‘Raise the Roof’ of Margaret Chadd House please pop into any of our shops in Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Caister, Lowestoft, Beccles, Bungay, Diss and North Walsham for a friendly chat and more information.
